SOCIAL IMPACT FUNDS
The countries of Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) are facing immense social challenges – national, regional, and global in scope. To effectively tackle them, it is crucial to:
- Cooperate between sectors: public, private and social;
- Increase the amount of private capital supporting the social sector and ensure that these resources work effectively;
- Create innovative mechanisms that will provide strategic, long-lasting and systemic solutions to key social issues affecting our region
Social Impact Funds, for which we were noticed and appreciated by the UN, are a great mechanism to achieve a true impact and finance social solutions in an effective way.
HOW DO SOCIAL IMPACT FUNDS WORK?
It is a cooperation between a social investor (one or many businesses, institutions or individuals), NGOs engaged in the process and Social Impact Alliance for CEE. As the Fund’s management house, we:
- help you identify social areas most suited for your business
- verify a bottom-up understanding of root causes
- find impactful solutions to selected social challenges
- set clear goals, measures of success, resources needed, timing
- develop a fund structure, e.g. investment committee
- find and contract social partners, perform due diligence
- run the entire process
- report throughout the process and after its completion
